I would like to prove a point. In the book of Acts, we find God sending a Christian to the house of a man who was persecuting and killing Christians with alot of authority. Obviously, the Christian was no so sure it was a good idea, but God sent him anyway. And then Saul became Paul, and the rest is history. Often it is the least likely people who surprise you.

I had a reader the other day whose pronunciation is not so good. He missed the first 3 appointments we had made, but I kept calling him to reschedule instead of marking him as a dropout. I was surprised when he finally came. In our first session, I could barely understand him, and our talk was very uneventful. The next time he came, I took a deep breath and began what I thought would be a fairly taxing reading session.

Surprise. It was only our second session, and he was asking me what God's plan is. I said to make a way for people to be forgiven of their wrongs so they can live in Heaven. He asked if God can take a murderer and make him into a good person. Then he asked how. We talked about the Holy Spirit, and we talked about angels and salvation and how God protects us and how God saves us from ourselves. He kept nodding and agreeing and ended with, "Thank you for explaining."

I didn't even do anything! He just started asking all these great questions. It was my best session of the day, and I thought it would be the worst. There's a lesson in this.

You never know what God is doing, so give it your best no matter what you're up to.

It proves that we're just here as available instruments. God does all the work and should get all the glory.

Please pray for my reader W.S.

Brad
